Resources
Here you can find 3R relevant resources from members of the EU3Rnet (the list will be continuously updated with new resources):
Resources from FC3R (France):
- Accelerating the adoption of recombinant antibodies (In order to reduce reliance on animal-derived antibodies, the performance of the most commonly used antibodies on French histology platforms was compared with that of recombinant alternatives. At least one recombinant antibody has been identified for each target tested. All results and protocols have been shared with the scientific community.)
- AREA Replacement directory (A French directory of alternative methods (AREA) is now available in English, so that anyone can look for French collaborators expert in Replacement methods. This directory is designed to identify these skills in France and promote the emergence of 3R collaborations.)
- Educational materials (FC3R has developed educational materials to raise awareness among laboratory staff and the general public about the ethical, scientific and regulatory issues surrounding the 3Rs principle.)
- Short Notes platform and library (The FC3R Short Notes Platform is a tool for disseminating all results following an evaluation process that focuses on the quality of the experimental design rather than novelty and impact. Eligible studies may be original or replication studies with any type of results: negative, positive or inconclusive.)
Resources from the Danish 3R Center:
- Educational materials on the 3Rs for elementary school and high school (in Danish)
- Experimental animals with the highest degree of suffering in 2021 (Report on a minor survey of animals in Denmark experiencing the highest degree of suffering)
- Guide to assessing laboratory animal welfare when working with external partners
Resources from Re-Place Project (Belgium):
- Educational webinars (A series where scientists from the RE-Place database present their work and share practical insights on NAMs)
- Infographics (Short videos and visual materials offering accessible information on NAMs-related initiatives)
- RE-Place open access database (Provides expertise on New Approach Methodologies available in Belgium, linking each method to the scientists and organisations that developed or currently use them)
- RE-Place website library (Compiles resources and information related to the 3Rs, relevant legislation, NAMs, funding opportunities, and other useful links)
