About EU3Rnet

EU3Rnet is a voluntary network of European 3R Centres dedicated to advancing the 3Rs (Replacement, Reduction and Refinement) principles in biomedical science.

Formally initiated in 2018 and strengthened through a joint consensus statement published in 2020, as well as memorandum of understanding (MOU), EU3RNet brings together 3R Centres and institutions with a focus on the implementation of the 3Rs to foster collaboration, share resources, support emerging 3R Centres, and provide independent, evidence-based expertise to policymakers across Europe.

Our mission is to accelerate scientific progress in the 3Rs through coordinated efforts in research, education, and responsible policy engagement.

EU3RNet is a science-driven network: our focus lies in rigorous research, constructive policy input, and the collective development of humane and innovative approaches to scientific discovery.
